Facilitation
I am trained in the following practices for group process, communication and repair.
THE WAY OF COUNCIL
Council is an ancient way and modern practice whose roots are within the natural world, spanning diverse cultures and religions. This practice elicits an experience of true community, recognizing that each voice needs to be heard, that every person has a gift, a story to share, a piece of the whole.
I have completed a 10 day Nature of Council Training with Gigi Coyle, co-author of the book The Way of Council.
NVC (NON-VIOLENT COMMUNICATION)
NVC is a practice of communicating more authentically, with a consciousness based on the intention to create positive connection — recognizing that mutually enriching outcomes will emerge from the quality of the relationships.
I have completed two workshops with my friend and mentor Rachelle Lamb, who learned directly from NVC Founder Marshall Rosenberg.
(ZEGG) FORUM
First encountered at the Tamera research village in Portugal, the Forum is a powerful group process that reveals our inner worlds in the container of community. The space is usually held by two facilitators, who guide the participant to express what is true. The “performance” is then reflected by members of the community.
Ordinarily, it takes years of personal practice and mentorship to become a proper Forum facilitator, and I don’t pretend I can certify others to hold Forum. However, I have completed four years of the Global Love School. As well, I completed two Forum trainings with Kelly Bryson, and have held numerous circles in community.
Therefore, I feel able to stand in my ability to offer Forum in the right circumstances.
